KANSAS CITY — Cookie innovations are leaving crumbs on retail shelves.
Ferrero North America subsidiary The Keebler Co. is adding Fudge Stripes double fudge cookies.
““If there’s one thing we pride ourselves on at Keebler, it’s our magical fudge,” said Kim Thomas, brand manager for Keebler Fudge Stripes. “And with this delectable new offering, Ernie and the Elves have doubled the magic and the fun.”
Oreo, a popular brand under Mondelez International, is collaborating with Grammy-nominated artist Austin “Post Malone” Post to launch a limited-edition cookie variety. The cookie is formulated with a swirled crème that blends salted caramel and shortbread flavors sandwiched between an Oreo chocolate cookie and golden Oreo cookie.
“Flavor innovations and collaborations, inspired by fan behavior, have become a mainstay in our playbook as a way to maintain relevancy across our portfolio of snack brands,” said Tanya Berman, senior vice president of biscuit products for Mondelez. “With an iconic brand like Oreo, our challenge is to consistently raise the bar and discover fresh ways to engage our fans. This collaboration with Post Malone sets a new standard. We hope fans are as excited about the brand’s newest hit as we are.”
Ferrero North America is debuting its Kinderini cookies in the United States. The shortbread cookies feature unique facial expressions on each cookie.
“Bringing Kinderini to families in the US is an exciting milestone for the Kinder brand,” said Catherine Bertrac, senior vice president of marketing at Ferrero. “This snack has brought joy to children and parents in other parts of the world, and we can’t wait for American families to make it a part of their day.”
