KANSAS CITY — New beverage innovations are hitting the markets.

Spindrift Beverage Co. is introducing a soda line. Spindrift Soda will launch with five flavors: concord freeze, ginger ale, orange cream float, Shirley temple and strawberry shortcake.

“Spindrift has changed the sparkling water aisle, and we’re ready to do it again in the modern soda aisle,” said Dave Burwick, chief executive officer of Spindrift. “This is exactly what made me so excited to join the company, diving head-first into category-defying products that challenge consumer expectations and reward them with exceptional taste and quality ingredients.”

Clean Simple Eats is unveiling a protein-packed carbonated soda. The frosted lemonade clear protein soda will be caffeine-free and offer 20 grams of ultra-filtered whey protein per can.

“As a health and wellness leader and brand, we are dedicated to helping others elevate their lives and are committed to providing the highest-quality products made with all-natural ingredients and zero artificial sweeteners,” said Erika Peterson, founder of Clean Simple Eats. “We’re thrilled to enter the soda space by offering this entirely new caffeine-free drink line to more consumers who are looking to hit their protein goals in even more ways without sacrificing quality or flavor.”

Simply, a The Coca-Cola Co. brand, is launching a prebiotic soda line. Five flavors will be offered: strawberry, pineapple mango, fruit punch, lime and citrus punch. The drinks are formulated with 25% to 30% of fruit juice from concentrate, 6 grams of prebiotic fiber, vitamin C and zinc.

“We found that consumers, especially wellness-focused Gen Z-ers and millennials, were really interested in juice and prebiotic sodas,” said Becca Kerr, chief executive officer of nutrition at The Coca-Cola Co. “And since many brands in this category are new, they were looking to align with names they know and trust for both quality and taste.”
