Food Entrepreneur NEW YORK — Core Home, a manufacturer of housewares and lifestyle products, is making its debut in the food and beverage industry with the acquisition of Asian boba tea brand, Bubluv. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Diana Ark Chen, founder and chief executive officer of Bubluv Inc., will join Core Home and lead the sales, marketing and innovation for Bubluv.

“This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Bubluv,” Chen said. “With Core Home’s talented cross-functional team, retailer network, and shared commitment to innovation, Bubluv will continue to thrive and reach its full potential. I’m incredibly excited for the future and confident that this partnership will allow us to achieve even greater success together.”

Bubluv debuted its Bubble Tea ready-to-drink boba alternative containing no added sugar in April 2022.

The launch included three varieties: black milk tea with tapioca pearls, matcha soy latte with tapioca pearls and passionfruit oolong guava with tapioca pearls.

The company’s tapioca pearls are formulated with a blend of tapioca starch and konjac, a root vegetable.

The beverages feature no artificial ingredients, 20 to 50 calories and 0 to 1 gram of sugar per beverage.
