LOUISVILLE, KY. — Kevin McCray, Kelsie Costa and Dan Costa, previously the founders of Kevin’s Natural Foods, have launched a new startup called Wild Fox Foods. Wild Fox Foods, which launched this year at the Natural Products Expo West trade show, is a bootstrapped startup aimed at the “healthy snack” market.

The company produces roasted nuts, nut-based snack mixes and protein bars.

The company said it makes its products with avocado oil and also uses a roasting process that is designed to avoid oxidizing the oil.

The company also said it does not use refined sugar in its products but does use garlic, smoked onion and sea salt for its seasonings.

Kevin’s Natural Foods was acquired by Mars, Inc. in 2023 and joined the company’s Mars Food & Nutrition segment as a standalone business.
