Food Entrepreneur NEW YORK — Baked By Melissa has named former PepsiCo, Inc. executive Sanjay Khetan as its chief financial officer. Khetan joins the dessert company from Wonder, where he most recently was chief production officer.

“Sanjay is a strategic financial leader with experience in operations, ecommerce and big food production,” said Melissa Ben-Ishay, chief executive officer and co-founder of Baked by Melissa. “He joins us at a critical inflection point of our company’s growth and I’m thrilled for you to see what’s next.”

Prior to Wonder, Khetan was with PepsiCo for approximately 15 years. He most recently was vice president, chief financial officer of PepsiCo e-commerce.

He joined PepsiCo in June 2006 as senior associate of corporate strategy and development.

During his tenure with PepsiCo, he held several financial leadership positions.

Earlier, he was an associate at A.T. Kearney and previously was a senior inventory analyst at Caterpillar Logistics Services, Inc.

Baked By Melissa was founded in 2008 by Ben-Ishay and makes bite-size cupcakes and macarons.

The company operates 11 retail locations in the New York area and offers nationwide shipping.
