SAN DIEGO — Jack in the Box Inc. has named Lance Tucker as its permanent chief executive officer. Tucker has been the company’s interim CEO since February 2025.
“Lance brings decades of experience within the restaurant industry as well as a financial mind into the CEO role that is well-timed to match with the company's current priorities,” said Dave Goebel, chairman of the board at Jack in the Box. “We are confident that Lance will position our company to perform at high levels, and drive returns that shareholders expect from our iconic brands and profitable business model.”
Before becoming interim CEO, Tucker was named chief financial officer in November 2024. He also was CFO at Jack in the Box from March 2018 to September 2020.
Prior to his most recent CFO position with Jack in the Box, Tucker was CFO at Davidson Hospitality Group and previously was CFO at CKE Restaurants, Inc. He also has held CFO positions for Papa John’s International and Evergreen Real Estate.
