SUMMERDALE, ALA. — Meat processor Maximus Meats recently unveiled plans to build a plant in Summerdale, Ala.

The company said the project cost is $11 million and will create more than 60 jobs.

The new 29,000-square-foot facility will support wholesale beef and pork products and include a retail store where customers can purchase items. The project is scheduled for completion later this year
