EMERYVILLE, CALIF. — Clif Bar & Co., a subsidiary of Mondelez International, Inc., will launch a new line of caffeinated energy bars called the Caffeinated Collection.
Developed in collaboration with pro women’s basketball player Breanna Stewart and pro tennis player Frances Tiafoe, the new energy bars are made with organic, non-GMO rolled oats as well as 10 grams of plant-based protein and 65 mg of non-GMO, organic caffeine (the equivalent of one espresso shot) per bar, providing “an extra boost of energy to jumpstart your workouts,” Clif Bar said. The bars also come in two flavors: vanilla almond and caramel chocolate chip.
“At Clif Bar, we know that the simple step of getting started is often what takes the most energy,” said Nicolas Henault, senior marketing director of Clif Bar & Co. “Sometimes, you need that extra boost to get moving on the journey to raise your bar. Our Caffeinated Collection not only delivers a kick of caffeine to help you tackle your next workout but it also helps provide the sustained energy that Clif Bar is known for, in two appealing new flavors that make getting started a truly enjoyable experience.”
Clif Bar Caffeinated Collection energy bars are available at US retailers for a suggested retail price of $1.99 per bar and $7.49 per five-pack of bars.
