AUSTIN, MINN. —Kevin Myers, PhD, has been named interim group vice president of supply chain at Hormel Foods Corp. Myers succeeds Steve Lykken, who is leaving the company to pursue another opportunity.

Myers has been with the company since July 2001 when he joined as research scientist. He has held numerous R&D leadership positions throughout his tenure with the company. Prior to Hormel, Myers was director of R&D at Sara Lee Foods and previously was a senior research scientist at Oscar Mayer.

Lykken was promoted from group vice president of Jennie-O Turkey Store to group vice president of supply chain in February 2024. Lykken succeeded Mark Coffey, who retired from the company.

Lykken joined Hormel Foods in 1992 as a sales account executive. He later was named senior vice president of retail division of Jennie-O Turkey Store in 2003 and senior vice president of supply chain for the business in 2011.
