LEBANON, OHIO — MANE, a global supplier of flavors and fragrances, has opened its new manufacturing facility in Woodlawn, Ohio, that makes liquid flavors for various markets, including beverages, dairy, functional nutrition, pharmaceuticals, baked foods and confectionery.

The company invested more than $100 million in the 100,000-square-foot plant, which offers up to 15,000 tonnes of production capability, five times the previous capacity. The warehouse has 60,000 square feet for increased ambient, refrigerated and frozen storage, and 25,000 square feet is dedicated to production.

“The new Woodlawn facility marks a bold strategic move aimed at increasing MANE’s market share in the liquid flavors category in North America and gives us a significant competitive edge, especially in the beverage market,” said Amy McDonald, president of MANE’s North American flavors division, which is based in Lebanon.

In Woodlawn, MANE already operated a 37,000-square-foot technology center with about 9,000 square feet of production space and 16,000 square feet of warehouse space.

The plant helps MANE achieve its environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals in North America as it uses solar power for 30% of its energy requirement, according to the company.

MANE, based in France and over 150 years old, serves customers in over 146 countries and operates 39 manufacturing sites and 50 research and development centers in 39 countries.
