KANSAS CITY — New dairy-based products are rolling out.

Tillamook County Creamery Association is launching new ice cream flavors, available for a limited time. The flavors include salty caramel pretzel and apple crisp.

Dairy Farmers of America is introducing chocolate milk that is formulated with a higher protein count and less sugar. TruMoo Zero offers 13 grams of protein per serving and is formulated with whole milk.

“We know that many consumers today are interested in increasing protein consumption and reducing sugar intake,” said Rachel Kyllo, DFA chief marketing officer of dairy brands. “TruMoo Zero provides these benefits while delivering the same great taste that TruMoo chocolate milk fans love.”

Two Spoons Creamery is unveiling a high-protein ice cream that is available in four flavors: rocky road, strawberries and cream, caramel swirl and fudgy brownie. The gluten-free ice cream is formulated with 30 grams of protein and is GLP-1 compatible, according to the company.

“We’re bringing back nostalgic American classics made better,” said Gabe Zichermann, co-founder. “We grew up loving ice cream but want a healthier option without compromise.”
