KANSAS CITY — Manufacturers of sauces and condiments continue to tap into consumer interest in globally-inspired flavors.

For instance, the Kraft Heinz Co. launched its Flavor Tour line inspired by three cultural cuisines. The company’s Mexican-inspired street corn is formulated with chipotle, lime and corn; its Korean-inspired sweet and tangy barbecue is made from a blend of gochujang, doenjang and soy sauce; and its Thai-inspired sweet chili is derived from with ginger, sriracha and sesame oil.

“Americans are hungry for condiments that offer globally inspired flavor and versatility at an accessible price point,” said Angie Madigan, vice president, taste elevation marketing at Kraft Heinz Co. “Leveraging our expertise in creating some of the world’s most beloved sauces, we designed the Flavor Tour line as the ultimate solution for these fans.”

Maazah, a maker of Middle Eastern-inspired sauces, debuted a line of plant-based lentil dips. Formulated with cooked lentils, tahini, lemon juice, oil, garlic and ginger, the product comes in basil jalapeno, lemon tahini, roasted red pepper and turmeric ginger varieties.

“These dips are a reflection of our love for bold flavors, wholesome ingredients, and the joy of sharing food with loved ones,” said Yasameen Sajady, co-founder of Maazah.

McCormick & Co. brand Frank’s RedHot expanded its portfolio of squeeze-bottle sauces, wing sauces and dipping sauces with two varieties each. The squeezed sauces include a burger sauce and a Korean barbecue sauce. The wing sauces include a mango habanero sauce and a General Tso sauce. The “Dip’n” sauces include secret chicken and sweet and sour varieties.
