MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills, Inc. has introduced a new line of refrigerated cookie dough under its Pillsbury baking brand called Big Cookies.

General Mills said the cookies are three times larger than its classic Pillsbury cookie, and may be baked in 17 to 21 minutes and are safe to eat raw. They also come in three flavors: Smore’s, which is filled with soft marshmallow pieces and chocolate chunks; chocolate chunk salted caramel, which fuses swirls of sweet caramel and melted chocolate into a buttery cookie; and double chocolate cherry, which blends rich cocoa with bursts of tart cherries.

“Larger, bakery-style cookies are trending right now, so we knew it was time to bring those big flavors home,” said Michelle Odland, business unit director for Pillsbury. “Perfect for anytime indulgence, Pillsbury Big Cookies help you fulfill a craving within minutes. No lines. No delivery fees. Any day of the week. Just warm, delicious cookies straight from your oven.”

Pillsbury Big Cookies cookie dough will be available at Walmart in May and will expand to other national retailers later this summer for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $5.99 per six-count pack.
