LONDON — Food and beverage ingredients company Tate & Lyle PLC has hired Kim Faulkner as chief supply chain officer, taking over from Melissa Law, who has been named chief commercial and transformation officer.

Plans call for Law and Faulkner to begin in their new roles on Aug. 25, London-based Tate & Lyle said. Law currently is president of global operations as well as chief supply chain officer.

Faulkner comes to Tate & Lyle after spending more than 27 years at Colgate-Palmolive Co., most recently as chief ethics and compliance officer. Other executive roles she has held in the consumer products giant’s global supply chain include vice president of global demand, systems and e-commerce supply chain and vice president of Latin America end-to-end supply chain.

In joining Tate & Lyle, Faulkner will become a member of the company’s executive committee.

“We are delighted to welcome Kim to Tate & Lyle and look forward to benefiting from her vast experience and knowledge of operating complex global supply chains,” said Nick Hampton, chief executive officer of Tate & Lyle. “We are delighted to welcome her to our executive team.”

Law has been with Tate & Lyle and served as a member of its executive committee since September 2017, when she joined the company as president of global operations and chief supply chain officer. Previously, she spent more than a dozen years in operational and commercial roles at global energy technology firm Baker Hughes Co., most recently as president and general manager of specialty chemicals and, before that, as vice president and general manager of Australasia.

Tate & Lyle noted that, for the past seven years, Law has led the company’s “highly successful” productivity program.

“Melissa has built an impressive and proven track record of success throughout her career, and we are excited she is taking on this key role as we look to accelerate growth across our newly enlarged business,” Hampton said.
