AUSTIN, MINN. – Hormel Foods Corp. has reshuffled its leadership lineup as three retire.

Bryan D. Farnsworth, vice-president of quality management, will succeed William F. Snyder as senior vice-president of supply chain, effective March 3. Mr. Farnsworth began his career at the company in 1981 and has held various quality and process control positions, as well as plant manager and director of quality management roles.

Lawrence C. Lyons, director of human resources, will replace David P. Juhlke as vice-president of human resources, effective March 3. Mr. Lyons joined Hormel Foods in 1978 as an industrial engineering trainee before advancing to compensation analyst and industrial relations supervisor. His experience also includes roles as manager of personnel and purchasing, corporate manager of safety and security, manager of employee relations and director of personnel.

Donald J. Temperley, director of pork operations and procurement, will fill the position of vice-president of operations in grocery products, vacated by Michael L. Devine, effective April 28. Mr. Temperley has held a variety of production management roles with Hormel, including superintendent of processed meats, superintendent of cured and smoked meats production and manager of pork processing.

Richard A. Carlson, vice-president of quality management at Jennie-O Turkey Store, has been tapped as vice-president of quality management at Hormel Foods, effective March 3. Mr. Carlson joined the company in 1990 as a quality and process control engineer before advancing to quality assurance and production management positions.
