Stouffer’s launches Mac Cups

WILKES-BARRE, PA. — Stouffer’s is releasing Mac Cups. The cups of macaroni cook in about 3 minutes and pack in 10 grams of protein per cup. In addition, each cup consists of 250 calories or less. Mac Cups are available in classic mac and cheese, white cheddar and bacon mac, and cheeseburger mac.

Gorton’s announces fish stick products

GLOUCESTER, MASS. — Gorton’s Seafood is rolling out a new line of fish sticks and fillets. The products are wild-caught Alaska Pollock breaded in panko coating. The fish stick and fillet products will be available nationwide in early 2015. 

Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. create double loaded omelet biscuits

CARPINTERIA, CALIF. — Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are partnering to announce the addition of the double loaded omelet biscuit. The breakfast product includes made-from-scratch biscuits, two folded egg omelets stuffed with sausage, diced ham, chopped bacon pieces, shredded Jack and cheddar cheese, and lastly, a slice of American cheese. “Hearty omelets have long been a popular choice for those with a big appetite at breakfast,” said Brad Haley, chief marketing officer for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. “The new double loaded omelet biscuit, packed with three different breakfast meats and 33 grams of protein, is no exception. We make them fresh every morning by folding crumbled sausage, chopped bacon, diced ham and shredded Jack and cheddar cheeses into an egg omelet. Then we stack two of them inside one of our signature Made from Scratch Biscuits that we make by hand and bake fresh every morning.” Double loaded omelet biscuits are available for $2.79 or as a combo meal with hash browns and a drink for $4.49.

Terra launches new vegetable chip flavors

BOULDER, COLO. — Terra Vegetable Chips is releasing two new flavors: Heritage Blend and Beauregard Sweets. The selections are produced with ingredients such as Chioggia beets, blue potatoes, Yukon Gold potatoes, and Beauregard sweet potatoes. In addition, the chips don’t contain artificial flavors, colors, or added MSG. The gluten-free vegetable chips are cooked in expeller pressed oils. Terra chips are available in 5-oz bags at Whole Foods through September 2015.

Rhythm Superfoods debuts holiday kale chips

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Rhythm Superfoods is introducing cranberry orange kale chips. The kale chips offer a tangy flavor and are U.S.D.A. organic and gluten-free. Rhythm Superfoods kale chips are available at Whole Foods Market for a suggested retail price of $4.99.

CideRoad releases Switchel beverages

MENDHAM, N.J. — CideRoad is debuting a Switchel beverage line. The line includes U.S.D.A. organic drinks in original, blueberry, and cherry flavors. The beverages are made with Vermont maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and ginger juice. CideRoad products are available at select retail outlets in the Northeast region with plans to go nationwide.

Happy Family debuts organic toddler milk

NEW YORK — Happy Family is launching Happy Tot Grow & Shine Organic Toddler Milk. The new milk product features DHA, arachidonic acid, choline, and vitamin C, E, and D. The milk product lineup is available at Target, Safeway, and BuyBuyBaby in 23.2-oz containers for a suggested retail price of $23.50.

House Foods rolls out tofu shirataki noodles

GARDEN GROVE, CALIF. — House Foods is announcing the addition of tofu shirataki noodles to the product lineup. The noodles are made with a blend of Konnyaku flour and tofu. Each 4-oz serving of noodles contains 10 calories and 3 grams of carbs. In addition, the noodles are made with U.S. soybeans and are Non-G.M.O. Verified as well and gluten-free.

Mars delivers new chocolate products

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Mars Chocolate North America is revamping the chocolate line with relaunches and new additions. M&M’S crispy chocolate candies and Snicker’s Xtreme bar will join new additions, including 3 Musketeers Mint Bites, Combos baked snacks, Dove whole fruit dipped in dark chocolate, Twix creamy peanut butter cookie bars, and seasonal shapes.

Ocean Spray launches functional water

Sara Lee debuts seasonal pound cakes

CHICAGO — Sara Lee Desserts is introducing seasonal pound cakes to the product line. The new selections include blueberry pound cake and gingerbread pound cake. The blueberry pound cake addition will be available year round. The gingerbread flavor is a limited edition available through December. The seasonal pound cake offerings are available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99 per 10.3-oz pound cake.

Kohana Coffee releases new cold brew coffee concentrates

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Kohana coffee is expanding its coffee product lineup. Additions include organic French roast, organic French vanilla, and natural decaf cold brew coffee concentrates. The coffee products are made with slow-roasted beans and cold brewed for 70% less acidity than traditional coffee. The concentrates don’t contain added preservatives or artificial sweeteners. Kohana Coffee concentrate selections are available in 16- and 32-oz bottles for respective suggested retail prices of $6.99 and $12.99.
