STRATHAM, N.H. – An expansion plan for manufacturing at the Lindt USA headquarters in Stratham should begin this spring and roll out over several years, Lindt & Sprungli, a premium chocolatier, said March 13. When the expansion is completed, the campus in Stratham should have more than 1 million square feet of space for production, storage and distribution.

A 108,000-square-foot addition nearly will double the size of the main building currently on the campus. The new manufacturing building will house additional premium chocolate production lines.

Lindt USA also expanded from 2006-2010. The company added 350,000 square feet of production, packaging and distribution facility space and a cocoa liquor plant.

Lindt controls the entire chocolate `production process, from cocoa bean to finished product. Chocolate products include Lindor truffles, Excellence premium dark chocolate bars and individually wrapped chocolate diamonds, the Lindt Hello collection, and Lindt Gold Bunny. Founded in 1845 and based in Switzerland, Lindt & Sprungli offers products in more than 120 countries and operates eight production facilities in Europe and the United States.
