Cleveland-based Ganeden Biotech recently announced that GanedenBC30 (Bacillus coagulans GBI-30, 6086) will be the first probiotic in a high pressure pasteurization (H.P.P.) product with the launch of Garden of Flavor’s cold-pressed, organic juices.

“GanedenBC30 can remain viable through H.P.P. providing beverage manufacturers the opportunity to fortify juices with a hearty dose of probiotics in formats that otherwise would be impossible,” said Michael Bush, senior vice-president of Ganeden Biotech.

The new probiotic line of juices is available for purchase in stores. Three of the seven flavors — Green Harmony, Appleade and Turmeric Tonic — have been fortified with the probiotic.
