INDIANAPOLIS — The Heartland Food Products Group plans to invest $21.2 million to expand its drink mix plant. The expansion, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year, will include new production lines, high-speed filling machines, packaging and blending equipment.

The company said the expansion will add 50 new jobs this year and approximately 160 jobs over the next four years.

Heartland is a manufacturer of liquid beverage enhancers and zero calorie sweeteners for the retail market. The company manufactures and markets both private label and branded products. The company also operates a manufacturing plant in The Netherlands.
