PORTALES, N.M. — More food processors have been added to the roster of companies impacted by the recall of products manufactured by Sunland Inc. that may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Companies initiating recalls include Belfonte Ice Cream and Dairy Foods Co., BGC Manufacturing, Dean Foods Co., Rich Products Corp. and the Smith Dairy Products Co.

Belfonte is recalling its Home Run Sundae Ice Cream, Mama’s Choice Reverse, Peanut Butter Pie Ice Cream. BGC Manufacturing, which serves the Brookshire Grocery Co., is recalling its Goldenbrook Farms Peanut Butter Bash Ice Cream.

Dean Foods Co. processing facilities in Buena Vista, Calif., and Orem, Utah, which operates under the Meadow Gold Dairy name, are recalling two ice cream varieties manufactured for the Albertsons supermarket chain. The varieties included in the recall are Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream and Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream.

Rich Products Corp. is recalling its Jon Donaire Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Cake and TCBY Peanut Buttery Fudge Deep Dish Frozen Yogurt Pie. Smith Dairy is in the process of recalling its Smith’s Peanut Butter Crunch Ice Cream, Acme Peanut Butter Twist Ice Cream, and Ruggles Peanut Butter Crunch and Peanut Butter Brownie Crunch Ice Cream.

The Sunland recall was initiated on Sept. 23, and expanded on Oct. 4 to include products manufactured at the facility between March 1, 2010, and Sept. 24, 2012. The original recall included peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, and Tahini products as well as roasted blanched peanut products. The expanded recall added several varieties of flavored butters and spreads to the list, including Thai ginger butter, chocolate butter and banana butter.
