Pacific Foods steps up hummus offerings

TUALATIN, ORE. — Pacific Foods is increasing snack offerings with new organic hummus and salsa con queso products. The shelf-stable dips are packaged in B.P.A.-free cartons. BERKELEY, CALIF. — Annie’s is set to debut a lineup of snack and mini meal kits. The kits contain no artificial flavors, synthetic colors, or preservatives. The snack kits are offered in three varieties: almond butter and crackers, hummus and crackers; and gluten free. The mini meal kits include three varieties: white cheddar macaroni and cheese, real aged cheddar macaroni and cheese, and gluten-free rice pasta and cheddar. Each snack and meal kit offers 6-10 grams of protein, 3-6 grams of fiber, and one serving of fruit. The kits are available exclusively at Target for a suggested retail price of $3.99 per kit.
