CHICAGO — Newly Weds Foods, Inc. has acquired the industrial food coating business of Tukwila, Wash.-based Continental Mills, Inc. for an undisclosed sum. The business primarily is comprised of starch and flour based coatings and batters for potato and poultry application as well as other protein and vegetable type substrates. The transaction includes a 55,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in Pendleton, Ore., and other assets associated directly with this specific business.
