OAK BROOK, ILL. — TreeHouse Foods, Inc. on May 30 said it had completed its acquisition of Protenergy Natural Foods for C$170 million ($150 million). Toronto-based Protenergy develops and manufactures food and beverage products, namely private label broth, soups and gravies.

TreeHouse originally announced the transaction on April 21. TreeHouse confirmed the transaction is expected to have an impact of about 5c to 7c per share on 2014 earnings and about 11c to 14c per share to 2015 earnings.
