Sky Valley Foods makes organic salad dressings and specialty sauces under Sky Valley, Organicville and Bella's brands.

DANVILLE, VA. — Sky Valley Foods, a maker of organic salad dressings and specialty sauces sold under the Sky Valley, Organicville and Bella’s brands, is moving its manufacturing operation to a new facility at Airside Industrial Park in Danville, which is approximately 12 miles away from its previous location in Yanceyville, N.C.

The new facility will provide Sky Valley Foods with three times the square footage and manufacturing rates, larger storage capabilities and room for future growth, the company said. Sky Valley Foods also has added two new high speed filling lines to increase its overall product production and efficiency. Production is scheduled to begin at the new Danville facility this fall. Additionally, the company, which currently employs 50 workers, will increase that number to approximately 60 as a result of the move and expects that number to rise to 100 by the end of 2015.

“We are pleased to announce the move of our manufacturing facility north, just up the road to Danville,” said Dennis Daniels, chief executive officer, co-owner and partner at Sky Valley Foods. “This new facility will allow us to grow the core competency areas of our business while continuing to innovate new products and capabilities. Those two benefits will help us better serve our customer base and fuel our growth, which will result in new job opportunities in the Danville community.”

Sky Valley Foods distributes its products to all 50 states and 6 countries through independent and natural food chains, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, Earth Fare, Fresh Market and Harris Teeter, and at retail grocery stores, including Kroger, Target and Publix.
