ST. LOUIS — Roger C. Matthews, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Panera Bread Co., has resigned his position to pursue other opportunities. William W. Moreton, executive vice-chairman of Panera, will serve as interim c.f.o. as the company searches for a full-time replacement.
Mr. Moreton previously held the positions of chief executive officer, co-c.e.o. and c.f.o. of Panera Bread.
Mr. Matthews will transition his remaining duties through the end of August. He had been with Panera since March 2013. Earlier, he worked for The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
