AUSTIN, TEXAS — Whole Foods Market and grocery delivery service Instacart announced a new partnership to allow customers to have the option to order on-line at Instacart.com to pick up products from Whole Foods stores. Whole Foods will be the first national Instacart partner to offer in-store pickup.
The organic food retailer and on-line delivery service will pilot the in-store pickup option in Boston and Austin in the next month. Instacart already offers delivery service from Whole Foods in all cities it serves. Whole Foods and Instacart expect to expand the in-store pickup to all of the cities.

A delivery, and now pick-up, service like Instacart not only makes grocery shopping more convenient for the shopper, but also helps ease the logistics for the retailer, the companies said.
