THE DALLES, ORE. — PowderPure will use $5.8 million in funding to expand its powder drying capabilities. Orca Capital Securities, Portland, Ore., was instrumental in helping to raise the funds, according to The Dalles-based PowderPure.
PowderPure’s vegetable and fruit powders are used in a range of applications, including juice and smoothie mixes, snacks, baby food and nutraceuticals. The company’s patented drying technology, called Infidri, allows the powders to retain color, flavor and nutrition.
“We are very excited about our partnership with Orca Securities and about using this platform in the future,” said Mark Savarese, chief executive officer of PowderPure. “We worked with them every step of the way, from strategy and structuring to implementation. As we expand the use of our exclusive ingredient drying technology, we will work with companies to create a healthier product, use energy efficient processes and implement positive economical savings.”
