JACKSON, MISS. — Michael Ermon has been named vice-president of operations at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. In his new role, Mr. Ermon will oversee the company’s production and processing facilities in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas, and Chase, Kas. Mr. Ermon also serves on the operations committee for the company’s Red River Valley Egg Farm joint venture in Texas. He will report to Sherman Miller, chief operating officer of Cal-Maine Foods.

An employee of Cal-Maine Foods since 2004, Mr. Ermon most recently was operations director of the company’s operations in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas. He also has served as general manager in Farwell and in Greensburg, La. He has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Louisiana State University.
