The appointments are effective immediately.

“Our company is performing with strong momentum as we advance our clear and aggressive strategic plans,” said Juan Luciano, president and chief executive officer. “Today, we’re tapping these three leaders to accelerate value creation in key areas.”

Gregory Morris, senior vice-president and president of Global Oilseeds.

In his role as senior vice-president and president of Global Oilseeds, Mr. Morris will be responsible for all commercial activity, operations and production for the company’s Oilseeds Processing business unit. Previously, Mr. Morris led the launch of the company’s Wild Flavors and Specialty Ingredients business unit, which includes ADM’s specialty ingredients businesses, as well as the company’s Wild Flavors business, and ADM’s portfolio of dried fruits, seeds, legumes and ancient grains. He joined ADM in 1995 and has held several senior-level merchandising and management positions since then. Prior to leading the launch of W.F.S.I., he was ADM’s president, North American Oilseeds Processing.

Mr. Morris received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

“Greg has been with ADM for more than 20 years and has worked in three of our four business units,” Mr. Luciano said. “He was a leader on our Oilseeds team for over 17 years, serving as president of North American Oilseeds for more than two years, and building our foods and wellness business before we asked him to lead the launch of our Wild Flavors and Specialty Ingredients business unit. As a leader, he is both disciplined and visionary, with a passionate commitment to his team and an exceptional sense of accountability for results. As he rejoins Global Oilseeds and works with the team’s strong regional leadership, I am looking forward to their delivering our ambitious scorecard of strategic actions.”

Vince Macciocchi, senior vice-president and president of the Wild Flavors and Specialty Ingredients business unit.

Mr. Macciocchi is senior vice-president and president of the Wild Flavors and Specialty Ingredients business unit. He has more than a quarter century of experience in the ingredients industry. He came to Wild as its North American chief operating officer in 2012. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Givaudan Flavors. He also has held positions at American-Maize Products Co., Roquette America and IngredientsNet.com.

He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill., and a master’s degree in business administration from North Central College in Naperville, Ill.

“Vince Macciocchi is exceptionally well-qualified to take W.F.S.I. forward,” Mr. Luciano said. “He joined ADM with Wild Flavors following a 26-year career in the food ingredients business. During the launch of W.F.S.I., he quickly impressed his ADM colleagues with the breadth of his industry knowledge and his strong customer focus. Vince served as Wild’s North American chief operating officer before being named ADM’s global president, Wild Flavors. With significant synergy wins already accomplished and a strong pipeline to advance, W.F.S.I. is going strong, and I am extremely pleased that this highly experienced ingredients leader will now accelerate their progress. With this appointment, Vince will join the company’s executive council and be part of senior level discussions on corporate performance and strategy.”

Mark Bemis, senior vice-president and president of ADM North America.

Mr. Bemis is ADM’s senior vice-president and president, North America, and the company’s chief risk officer. Previously, he was president of ADM’s Corn Processing business unit. Before that, he was president of ADM’s Cocoa, Milling and Financial Services businesses; earlier, he was vice-president and general manager for ADM Cocoa North America. In addition, he has held various merchandising and management positions in the company’s Agricultural Services, Malt, Corn Processing, and Oilseeds Processing businesses since joining ADM in 1983. Mr. Bemis was chairman of ADM’s Sustainability Steering Committee from 2007 to 2010, a period in which the company made significant progress in its three principal sustainability focus areas: supply chain integrity, water-resource management, and energy and climate change.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois.

“In asking Mark Bemis to take on the additional role of chief risk officer, we are tapping this exceptionally well-respected veteran of more than 30 years for his deep knowledge of risk and his breadth of experience across ADM’s supply chains to manage our company's commodity risk,” Mr. Luciano said.

Chris Cuddy, senior vice-president and president of ADM's Corn Processing business unit.

In that role, he was responsible for all commercial activities of the company’s North American sweetener, starch, fiber and acidulant businesses. Mr. Cuddy joined ADM in 1998 and held a variety of merchandising and management roles prior to leading the sweeteners and starches group, including president, Almidones Mexicanos, SA de CV (Almex), an ADM joint venture based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Before that, he was vice-president, ADM Corn Processing. From 2000 to 2004, he was North American sales manager, ADM BioProducts. “We are pleased to announce that Chris Cuddy has been made a senior vice-president of the company,” Mr. Luciano said. “In just short two months as the leader of our Corn business, Chris has impressed us with his enthusiasm and drive. We are looking ahead with anticipation for great results as he continues to work with his team to grow and improve the business.

“The strength of the ADM team is one of our key competitive distinctions. We have an exceptional depth of talent, with capable, experienced and committed leaders throughout our company. I am extremely pleased that Greg, Vince, Mark and Chris, together with the ADM team, will be delivering the opportunities ahead.”
