Smucker is decreasing the list price for the majority of its packaged coffee products in the U.S.

ORRVILLE, OHIO — The J.M. Smucker Co. said it has decreased the list price for the majority of its packaged coffee products sold in the United States, primarily consisting of items sold under the Folgers and Dunkin’ Donuts brand names. The price decline also applies to the new reduced canister size of Folgers ground coffee, Smucker said.

“Prices decreased an average of 6% on impacted items in response to sustained declines in the green coffee futures market,” Smucker said.

The company’s K-Cup pods were excluded from the price decrease.

A little more than a year ago Smucker increased the list price for the majority of its packaged coffee products sold in the United States by an average of 9% in response to sustained increases in green coffee costs.

Dunkin’ Donuts brand is licensed to Smucker for packaged coffee products sold in retail channels such as grocery stores, mass merchandisers, club stores and drug stores.

Smucker said the price cuts do not affect Dunkin’ Donuts coffee or other products for sale in Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants.
