NASHVILLE, TENN. — Harry’s Fresh Foods, a Portland, Ore.-based manufacturer of refrigerated and frozen soups, entrees, sides and desserts, has expanded its operations with the opening of a new 200,000-square-foot production facility in Nashville.

The new facility eventually will employ more than 300 workers and will produce branded and private label products for club, retail, industrial and food service customers.

Founded in 1977, Harry’s Fresh Foods offers flexible manufacturing capabilities and sources local ingredients when possible. Products include desserts, soups, chilies, sauces, entrees and sides, frozen foods and gluten-free, organic, vegetarian and vegan options. The company is a subsidiary of JGC Foods Co. L.L.C.

“We are now among the first to manufacture on both sides of our country,” said Jamie Colbourne, chief executive officer of Harry’s Fresh Foods. “Opening this Nashville production facility enables us to offer the same high-quality products with less distance to travel, improves efficiency and available delivered shelf life of the company’s fresh, natural and organic products.”
