Dunkin' Donuts plans to develop 30 restaurants in Switzerland.

CANTON, MASS. — The opening of 55 restaurants during 2015 has pushed Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence across Europe to more than 220 locations, the Canton-based company said. Over the past year, the company celebrated first restaurant openings in Denmark, Georgia, Iceland and Poland, while also opening additional locations in Austria, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. The company also signed a master franchise agreement in September to develop 30 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Switzerland.

“We’ve been very pleased with our regional expansion efforts in 2015, bringing Dunkin’ Donuts’ high-quality foods and beverages to guests in several new European countries,” said Grant Benson, vice-president of global franchising and business development, Dunkin’ Brands, the parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts. “We’re also continuing to recruit qualified, well-capitalized multi-unit franchisee groups for Belgium, Finland, France, The Netherlands, Norway and Turkey, and see tremendous opportunity for future growth in these markets.”

Dunkin’ Donuts has more than 11,700 restaurants in 43 countries.
