Ruby Tuesday has hired a new chief development officer: Mike Ellis.

MARYVILLE, TN. — Mike Ellis joins Ruby Tuesday, Inc. as chief development officer, effective immediately. Most recently, Mr. Ellis held the same position at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group. In his new role, Mr. Ellis will oversee all aspects of development for Ruby Tuesday, including both company and franchise growth. As of Dec. 1, 2015, the company owned and franchised a total of 734 Ruby Tuesday brand restaurants in 44 states, 12 foreign countries and Guam.

With more than 30 years of restaurant industry experience, Mr. Ellis has held senior development positions at BP Products North America, Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, Burger King, Darden Restaurants and DF&R Restaurants. Prior to his time at Einstein Noah, he was chief development officer of O’Charley’s.
