BA Sports Nutrition produces the Bodyarmor brand of sports drinks.

PLANO, TEXAS — The Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. has increased its stake in BA Sports Nutrition, maker of the Bodyarmor brand of sports drinks, from 11.7% to 15.5% with the investment of an additional $6 million. The beverage company is now the second largest investor in the brand, according to BA Sports Nutrition.

In August 2015, Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc. invested $20 million in BA Sports Nutrition. Introduced in 2012, Bodyarmor beverages are high in potassium and made with such ingredients as coconut water, vitamins and cane sugar. The product is positioned in the market as a premium sports nutrition beverage.
