MONTREAL — Dino Dello Sbarba, president and chief operating officer of Saputo Inc., will retire effective April 1, 2017. Following Mr. Dello Sbarba’s retirement, Kai Bockmann will succeed him as president and c.o.o.
Mr. Bockmann has been with Saputo since January 2012 as president and c.o.o. of the company’s international sector. He will continue in that role until next April. Prior to joining Saputo, he worked for more than 15 years in the food industry, where he held several senior management positions in production, sales and marketing for McCain Foods Ltd.

Starting April 1, 2017, Mr. Bockmann will report to Lino A. Saputo Jr., the company’s chief executive officer and vice-chairman of the board.
In the upcoming year, Mr. Dello Sbarba will ensure a transition to Mr. Bockmann. Starting April 1, 2017, Mr. Dello Sbarba will act as a senior adviser to the president and c.o.o. Mr. Dello Sbarba joined Saputo in 1990 as national director of retail sales and marketing. In 2001, he became president and c.o.o. of Saputo’s Cheese Division (Canada). In 2004, he took on the responsibilities of president and c.o.o. of Saputo’s Cheese Division (USA) and in 2007 was named president and c.o.o. of the Dairy Products Division (Canada). He has been president and c.o.o. since 2012.
