YORK, PA – Andrew Jacobs, former executive at The Hershey Co., has become president and part owner of Wolfgang Candy Co.

Mr. Jacobs will oversee sales and marketing efforts and work with chief executive officer Benjamin A. McGlaughlin on strategic initiatives for the brand of premium chocolates.

“I am excited to be joining the team at a time when we are introducing a line of new all-natural chocolate products and have a clear vision for the brand and the organization,” Mr. Jacobs said.

With more than 20 years of confectionery experience, Mr. Jacobs filled several leadership roles at Hershey, including vice-president and general manager of U.S. customers. He also held marketing leadership positions at Brach’s Confections and Nabisco’s Lifesavers divisions.

”The addition of Andy rounds out our leadership team,” Mr. McGlaughlin said. “Wolfgang is now poised to enter new markets and introduce our premium chocolate line to more audiences across the country.”

The family-operated Wolfgang Candy Co. was founded in 1921 and produces chocolate and non-chocolate confections for retail and fundraising.
