B.R.A.I.N. sweetener developers
B.R.A.I.N. owns proprietary screening technology for the development of natural sweeteners and taste enhancers.

ZWINGENBERG, GERMANY, and LESTREM, FRANCE — Roquette has joined a partnership that aims to develop natural sweeteners and sweet taste enhancers. Zwingenberg-based Biotechnology Research and Information Network AG (B.R.A.I.N.) and its subsidiary, natural products company AnalytiCon Discovery GmbH, also belong to the partnership, called Dolce.

Dolce’s goal is to achieve sugar reduction and calorie reduction in foods and beverages. While B.R.A.I.N. owns proprietary screening technology, AnalytiCon has access to a variety of all-natural ingredients with a particular focus on edible plant material. Roquette, a specialty food ingredients company based in Lestrem, will be responsible for late stage development, production and supply of the compounds to different markets and application fields.
