SAN FRANCISCO — Clarice Turner has been named chief executive officer of Boudin Bakery, a company known for its “Original San Francisco Sourdough.”

Ms. Turner most recently was senior vice-president of Food & Evenings America at Starbucks, where she led the company’s food business in the United States and Americas. She earlier was a senior vice-president, general manager of the U.S. licensed business at Starbucks and senior vice-president in the U.S. company business.

Prior to Starbucks, Ms. Turner was president, chief operating officer and board director of Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza. She earlier spent 16 years with PepsiCo, Inc. and Yum! Brands, where she held a variety of executive management positions, including domestic and international general management in corporate, licensed and franchise ownership models.

Ms. Turner also serves on the Culinary Institute of America board of fellows and is an executive board director for the National Restaurant Association and vice-chair of its Food and Healthy Living committee.

She received a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in international business from San Francisco State University.
