NEW YORK — Blue Apron, a leading meal kit delivery company, has expanded its leadership team to support continued growth.

Pablo Cussatti has been named senior vice-president of fulfillment and operations. An experienced supply chain and manufacturing executive with previous roles at Campbell Soup Co. and PepsiCo, Mr. Cussatti joins Blue Apron from Pinnacle Foods, where he was senior vice-president of supply chain manufacturing with responsibility over 100 internal and external manufacturing sites. In his new position with Blue Apron, he will oversee the company’s three fulfillment centers in Jersey City, N.J.; Arlington, Texas; and Richmond, Calif.; and will lead the operations team, with a focus on managing processes, quality assurance and employee engagement across the fulfillment centers.

Tim Smith has been named vice-president of supply chain at Blue Apron. Previously, he was general manager for Emerging Brands Group at Tyson Foods. Mr. Smith brings 16 years of general management and supply chain development experience to the position and will lead Blue Apron’s supply chain team as the company expands relationships with farmers and suppliers across the country.

Launched in 2012, Blue Apron now ships 8 million meals a month, sourcing sustainably grown, seasonal ingredients that are delivered in pre-measured kits to consumers across the country. Meal kit delivery has burgeoned into a $1.5 billion market that is expected to at least double over the next few years, according to Packaged Facts.
