ARDEN HILLS, MINN. — Chris Roberts has been named executive vice-president and chief operating officer, Dairy Foods at Land O’Lakes, Inc, effective Feb. 6. In his new role, Mr. Roberts will report to Beth Ford, group executive vice-president and c.o.o. for the Purina Animal Nutrition and U.S. Dairy Foods businesses, and will have responsibility for supply chain and operations, information technology and research and development across the entire Land O’Lakes enterprise.
Most recently, Mr. Roberts was president of the Cargill Value Added Protein division at Cargill. Prior to that role, he was president of the Cargill Kitchens. Previously, he held leadership roles at PepsiCo and the Coca-Cola Co.
“Chris is a best-in-class leader, known to drive innovation, and brings both commodity and branded goods experience,” Ms. Ford said. “We firmly believe Chris’ strong leadership will help Land O’Lakes accelerate into our next phase positioned for faster and more competitive growth.”
The move marks a reunification of the company’s dairy businesses, including the global powder organization, under one leader in a new position for the company.
