Brian Unger has been named president, LJS Operating Company and senior vice-president of U.S. franchising and development. Previously, Mr. Unger was chief operating officer for LJS, and before that he was chief restaurant officer for Einstein Noah Restaurant Group and senior vice-president of operations for McDonald’s Corp.

Toni Bianco has been appointed chief operating officer of LJS U.S. and International. He joined the company in 2015 as vice-president of operations. Before that, Mr. Bianco spent more than 13 years in operations at Papa John’s Pizza, eventually rising to the position of vice-president of Asia. Prior to Papa John’s, he was director of operations for Aramark.

Krista Foster has been promoted to vice-president of human resources for LJS. She joined the company in 2015 after 15 years in human resources with Reams Asset Management.
“These moves recognize the substantial contributions of Brian and Toni to strengthening Long John Silver’s operations, improving our customer satisfaction scores and driving profitable growth of the brand,” said James O’Reilly, chief executive officer. “We’re proud of Krista as she continues to lead the key strategic initiative of Creating a Great Place to Work. Under her leadership, LJS has been named one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in Kentucky for 2017.”
