MACON, GA. — Tyson Foods, Inc. is investing $59 million to expand its distribution center in Macon, Ga. The move will add jobs, improve efficiency and support Tyson’s future growth plans, the company said.
Set to begin this summer, the project will add 152,000 square feet to the facility, which currently serves food service and retail customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Tyson expects the expansion to add over 100 jobs for a total employment of almost 240 people. Projected completion is late 2018.
