A taste of Morocco

Moroccan flavors are shining in new sauces and snacks featured at the Summer Fancy Food Show.

Aladdin Bakers, Inc. is expanding its line of Baked in Brooklyn Pita Chips with a Hot Moroccan Spice flavor. Enjoy Life Foods, a subsidiary of Mondelez International, recently added a Moroccan Spice variety to its Plentils line of lentil chips. The newest addition from Fox Point Pickling Co. is Spice Market Green Beans, pickled with a Moroccan-inspired brine.

From Wild Thymes Farm, Inc., Mad Moroccan BBQ Sauce features warm spices, cilantro and mint. Mod Squad Martha offers Music Row Moroccan Marinade and Rub, which includes bourbon, ginger, key lime juice and minced garlic with a fragrant rub mix of five toasted Moroccan spices. The Gracious Gourmet is introducing Moroccan Ratatouille Spread, with spices, roasted eggplant, garlic, onions and vegetables simmered in olive oil.

Harissa, a Moroccan hot pepper sauce, is found in cashew butter from Eliot’s Adult Nut Butters and in avocado oil mayo from Chosen Foods.
