KANSAS CITY — Andrew Deister has been named president and chief executive officer of Russell Stover Chocolates. He succeeds Andreas Pfluger, who has acted as c.e.o. of Russell Stover since it was acquired by Lindt & Sprüngli in 2014.
Mr. Deister joins Russell Stover from Robert Rothschild Farm, a specialty food company, where he was president and c.e.o. Previously, he held leadership roles in marketing, sales and innovation at global consumer packaged goods firms, including Procter & Gamble, Abbott Nutrition and Evenflo. He has a master’s degree in business administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
In his new role at Russell Stover, he will be responsible for continuing to build the brand while expanding its presence in the marketplace with product innovation.

Mr. Pfluger will remain in his role as Lindt & Sprüngli North America president with responsibility for coordinating the company’s North American businesses of Lindt in North America, Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. and Russell Stover Chocolates.
