DENVER — Scott Boatwright has been named chief restaurant officer of Chipotle Mexican Grill, effective May 30.

Mr. Boatwright joins Chipotle from Arby’s Restaurant Group, where he was senior vice-president of operations. He started at Arby’s in 1997 and held a variety of leadership and executive positions during his tenure with the company.
