Citrus soda stars in Buffalo Wild Wings new menu item: Mountain Dew-Flavored Wings. The new sauce, called Zesty Citrus sauce, features the citrus flavor of Mountain Dew along with lemongrass and red pepper flakes. The wings will be available through Jan. 2.

Two extra-cheesy menu items have come to Wendy’s. The Gouda Bacon Cheeseburger, served on a toasted brioche bun, offers aged Gouda and a Swiss Gruyere cheese sauce along with a quarter-pound beef patty, garlic aioli, three strips of applewood-smoked bacon, red onions, tomato, and spring mix. The Bacon Fondue Fries feature the same Swiss Gruyere sauce on a bed of sea salt fries topped with bits of applewood-smoked bacon. The new burger and fries are available for a limited time.

Church’s Chicken is putting a holiday spin on its Oreo Biscuit Bites with its new Red Velvet Oreo Biscuit Bites. The treat consists of a mix between honey-butter biscuits and red velvet Oreo cookies topped with vanilla icing glaze.

Panera Bread is featuring a new flatbread on its holiday menu: the Chicken, Ham & Swiss Flatbread. Served on whole grain flatbread, the sandwich includes chicken raised without antibiotics, lean smoked ham, Swiss, arugula, herb and garlic cream cheese spread, and spicy brown mustard.

Taco Bell is taking its nachos up a notch by introducing Boss Nachos. Featuring a bed of tortilla chips topped with a double portion of grilled marinated steak, the nachos include warm nacho cheese sauce, a three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, refried beans, guacamole and reduced fat sour cream.

Arby’s is launching new Steak Fajita Flatbreads in both spicy and regular varieties. The handheld offers sliced Angus beef with fajita seasoning, avocado sour cream sauce, a slice of colby cheese, red and yellow peppers, red onion, shredded iceberg lettuce, and tomatoes all folded inside a pita. The chain also offers a “Fiery” version that swaps the avocado sour cream for a ghost pepper avocado sauce. The fajita seasoning includes spices, onion, garlic powder, ancho chili pepper, lime juice and chipotle pepper. The Steak Fajita Flatbread is available through the end of the year.

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s is launching its new Steakhouse Thickburger. Served on the chain’s signature fresh-baked buns, the burger offers a Black Angus beef patty, crispy onion strings, crumbled blue cheese, A.1. Steak Sauce, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise.

Bacon is booming on Papa Murphy’s new pizza, called the Sizzling Bacon Bacon Bacon Pizza. The take-and-bake pie includes Canadian bacon, regular bacon and pepper bacon along with the chain’s traditional red sauce, shredded whole-milk mozzarella cheese and mixed onions. The new pizza is available through Dec. 30.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Tabasco have teamed up to create the new Tabasco Spiced Pepper Barrel Tenders. The new menu item features chicken breast strips marinated in a blend of white oak-aged Tobasco spice then hand-battered and breaded. The chicken comes as a meal with one side, a buttermilk biscuit, and Smok’n Pepper Ranch dipping sauce for a limited time.

Caribou Coffee is releasing two new lattes for the holidays: the Ginger Chai Latte and the Chai Nog Latte. The Ginger Chai Latte features a ginger syrup mixed with the chain’s chai tea latte. The Chai Nog Latte combines chai tea with steamed eggnog, topped with nutmeg.
