The Kellogg Co. debuts a slew of new products.
Kellogg’s Raisin Bran cereal is going granola. The iconic brand is launching two varieties of granola that incorporate the familiar taste of Raisin Bran cereal. Raisin Bran Raisin & Honey granola features granola clusters, puffed grains, wheat bran flakes, raisins and honey. Raisin Bran Cranberry Almond granola includes granola clusters, puffed grains, wheat bran flakes, raisins, honey, cranberries and almonds.
“Kellogg’s Raisin Bran granolas provide a variety of flavors and textures that will appeal to both Raisin Bran lovers and traditional granola fans,” said Cathy Schneck, vice-president of innovation for Kellogg U.S. Morning Foods. “We’ve stuck to our tradition of ‘two scoops of raisins’ and also included a carefully selected mix of other ingredients to provide a unique and delicious breakfast.”

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal is getting festive for Fourth of July. The company is introducing Rice Krispies cereal with red and blue rice to help patriotic consumers create holiday-themed Rice Krispies Treats this summer.

Kellogg is putting the pop in Pop-Tarts with its new A&W Root Beer and Crush Orange Pop-Tarts. The A&W variety features a root beer-flavored filling and is topped with white frosting and brown, red and orange sprinkles. The Crush toaster pastry offers a Crush Orange citrus-flavored filling and is topped with white frosting and orange string icing.
“We know that people love mash-ups of the things they love, and we are building on that with these new flavors,” said Angela Gusse, marketing director for Pop-Tarts. “It’s all about fun and enjoyment, and we are excited to add Crush Orange and A&W to the Pop-Tarts lineup. We think our fans will be excited, too.”

Kellogg’s Eggo brand is launching a new line of waffles: Eggo Oats & Berries waffles. Made with berries and steel cut oats, the waffles are free of artificial colors and flavors and are available in blueberry and mixed berry varieties.

Kellogg’s Special K brand is launching its line of Crustless Quiches, a breakfast option that provides 10 to 11 grams of protein per serving and microwaves for two minutes. The quiches are available in three varieties: Uncured ham, cheese, quinoa and peppers; mozzarella and asiago; and portabella, quinoa, Parmesan, asiago and kale.
“Special K fans are seeking positive nutrition that fortifies them for the day ahead,” said Trinh Le, marketing director for Kellogg Frozen Foods. “Our new Crustless Quiches offer them an exciting twist on a classic breakfast, made with nourishing and satisfying ingredients such as eggs, chopped vegetables, quinoa and cheese.”

Kellogg’s MorningStar Farms brand is offering new sausage patties kicked up with quinoa. MorningStar Farms Veggie Breakfast Sausage & Grain Patties feature a blend of organic quinoa, steel cut oats and veggie sausage with herbs and spices. The patties are Non-GMO Project verified, 100% vegan and offer 6 grams of protein per serving.

Kellogg’s Special K brand is launching a new line of crackers called Special K Multigrain Crackers with Quinoa. Available in Sea Salt Original and Parmesan Sesame varieties, the crackers feature 14 grams of whole grain per serving, including whole wheat, quinoa, brown rice, millet and whole oat flour.

Kellogg’s Cheez-It brand is offering sandwich crackers in three flavors: Original Cheddar, Italian Four Cheese and Spicy Queso.
“The line between a snack and a meal is blurring as many people adopt a grazing style of eating, mixing snacks and mini-meals throughout the day,” said Yuvraj Arora, vice-president of innovations for Kellogg’s U.S. Snacks. “We also know that many people are also seeking bigger, bolder flavors.”

Kellogg’s Town House brand is introducing two new flatbread crisps flavors inspired by culinary ingredients and restaurant recipes: Tomato, basil and mozzarella, and spinach, artichoke and feta.

Kellogg’s Special K brand is raising the bar with the launch of a new snack bar line and the addition of two new flavors to its Chewy Snack Bar portfolio. Special K Protein Trail Mix bars debut in two flavors: Chocolate peanut pecan and fruit and nut. Each trail mix bar features 8 grams of protein per serving. Special K Chewy Snack Bars gain dark chocolate pomegranate and coconut caramel flavors. The new chewy varieties and trail mix bars are made without artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.

Kellogg’s Keebler brand is busting out a birthday cake flavor with its new limited batch Fudge Stripes Birthday Cake cookies. The treats consist of birthday cake-flavored cookies drizzled with white icing and topped with multi-colored sprinkles.
