Dean Foods Co. is debuting Friendly’s Dessert Cups, a line of single-serve treats inspired by classic desserts. Each 8.5-oz cup incorporates up to six layers of ingredients to create deconstructed desserts with toppings. Friendly’s Dessert Cups come in six varieties.
The Banana Cream Pie cup includes vanilla wafer crumbles, banana cream pie filling and french vanilla ice cream topped with marshmallow sauce and whipped topping.
The Strawberry Shortcake cup contains pound cake crumbles, vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, whipped topping and white chocolate chips.
The Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge cup features chocolate peanut butter fudge truffles, chocolate ice cream, peanut butter and whipped topping with chocolate flakes.
The Blackberry Peach Pie cup consists of flaky pie crust pieces, peach pie filling and vanilla ice cream topped with blackberry sauce, whipped topping and streusel crumble.
The Red Velvet Cake cup features red velvet cake crumbles, red velvet cake filling, cream cheese ice cream and whipped topping with red sprinkles.
The Pecan Praline cup contains praline coated pecan pieces, vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and whipped topping with roasted pecan bits.
Mondelez International, Inc. is launching a new line of Triscuit crackers containing seeds that are woven together with shredded wheat and then baked. The new “Woven With Seeds” Triscuit line is debuting with three varieties: Woven with Poppy Seeds Garlic & Onion, Woven with Quinoa Seeds Basil & Garlic, and Woven with Chia Seeds Rosemary & Jalapeño. Baked with 100% whole grain wheat, the crackers contain 120 calories per six-cracker serving and are Non-GMO Project verified.
Starbucks Corp. and Nestle S.A. are introducing Starbucks Nespresso, the first product jointly developed since the companies formed the Global Coffee Alliance in August 2018. Each capsule contains ethically sourced 100% Arabica Starbucks coffee in the premium at-home Nespresso format. Varieties include Espresso Roast, Blonde Espresso Roast, Single-Origin Colombia Coffee and Pike Place Roast.
Dole Packaged Foods, L.L.C. is introducing Dole Spoonable Smoothies. The frozen smoothie bowls contain fewer than 200 calories each and thaw in 35 to 40 minutes at room temperature of 30 seconds by microwave.
The Dole Whip Spoonable Smoothies pineapple banana variety contains a creamy smoothie base topped with pineapple, crunchy honey oat granola and coconut shavings.
The Dole Spoonable Smoothies strawberry banana flavor includes a blend of strawberry and banana topped with toasted granola.
The Kraft Heinz Co. is putting a tart twist on its Kool-Aid brand with new Kool-Aid Sour Jammers. The beverages are available in five fruit flavors: Snappin’ Green Apple, Shockin’ Blue Raspberry, Electric Lemon Lime, Watermelon Slam and Zappin’ Tropical Punch.
The Real Good Food Company, L.L.C. is breaking into the breakfast daypart with new Real Good Breakfast Sandwiches. Featuring a bun made with cauliflower and cheese, the sandwiches come in two varieties: bacon, egg and cheddar cheese, which contains 16 grams of protein and 240 calories; and sausage, egg and cheddar cheese, which features 18 grams of protein and 390 calories. Both varieties contain 6 grams of carbohydrates per serving.
Continental Mills, Inc. is adding four new gluten-free baking mixes to its Krusteaz portfolio. Each certified gluten-free mix requires the addition of only three ingredients. Varieties include yellow cake mix, chocolate cake mix, chocolate chip cookie mix and confetti buttermilk pancake mix.
