Plant-based innovator Daiya Foods debuted its gluten-free and plant-based frozen flatbreads, which are available in three varieties.
The new flatbreads come in sunflower seed pesto, caramelized onion and plant-based Italian sausage crumbles, and feature the company’s Cutting Board Cheeze shreds.
Products are available at Kroger, Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Safeway and Publix, as well as Sprouts and other natural food retailers.
Planterra Foods’ plant-based foods brand Ozo introduced True Bite Experience bacon, a plant-based meat product.
The True Bite Experience bacon product contains no cholesterol and comes in three varieties: cracked black pepper, applewood smoke and spicy jalapeño. It joins the True Bite Experience plant-based chicken, which is available in cutlets and shreds.
The Loma Linda brand under Atlantic Natural Foods released its canned Chick’n, a vegan plant-based alternative.
The shelf-stable canned chicken is available in three varieties: bbq sauce, broth and Buffalo sauce.
Hemp foods pioneer Manitoba Harvest, a subsidiary of Tilray Brands, Inc., introduced its line of hemp protein items blended with other plants.
The lineup includes hemp matcha, hemp supergreens, hemp chia and flax, ground hemp seed and roasted hemp seeds with sea salt.
“Hemp has been one of the most misunderstood plants for decades, and we’re thrilled to see consumers beginning to understand its nutritional value,” said Sam Garfinkel, vice president of marketing at Manitoba Harvest. “These new items take full advantage of Hemp’s protein and omega content and will be a perfect option for consumers looking to enhance their wellness routine.”
Base Culture, a company specializing in gluten-free, grain-free and paleo baked foods, is set to launch its newest product: Keto-certified Baked Breakfast Squares.
The Baked Breakfast Squares are launching in two flavors, apple spice and fruit and nut, and will be available in spring 2022. Base Culture created the product for consumers looking for a convenient gluten-free and grain-free breakfast option.
Snack company Eat the Change debuted Cosmic Carrot Chews, its first-to-market children’s vegetable snack.
The vegetable-based snack will be available in three varieties: sour cherry berry, orange mango and apple cinnamon. Made with four ingredients, the product will mainly feature carrots and fruit juice. Each pouch will contain 60 calories and one serving of carrots and have been dehydrated to create a chewy texture.
Nutiva introduced its organic Coconut Spreads, which are sweetened with coconuts.
The spreads contain less than 5 grams of sugar per serving and are gluten-free and vegan. They are available in three varieties — chocolate coconut, almond coconut and vanilla coconut — and each jar carries a suggested retail price of $9.99.
Hoplark launched its non-alcoholic brew, Hoplark 0.0.
Hoplark 0.0 is available in a citra hops flavor, is gluten-free and contains no calories, no sugar, no carbs, and no added flavors, which is a first for the beer industry, according to the company.
Moon Cheese announced its newest product, Crunchy Cheese Sticks, a shelf-stable cheese puff made with 100% cheese.
The Crunchy Cheese Sticks contain 14 to 15 grams of protein per serving and are available in five varieties: cheesy does it, wild white chedda’, kick it up a nacho, rowdy ranch and yum inferno.
Moon Cheese’s new product will be available at select Whole Foods Markets starting in May 2022, and the company has plans to expand to more distributers throughout the year.
Wicked Kitchen, which specializes in plant-based packaged goods, launched its collection of plant-based ice creams made with the lupin bean. The lupin bean gives Wicked Kitchen’s ice cream a creamy texture and mouthfeel, according to the company.

Brazi Bites introduced its line of gluten-free Pizza Bites.
The Pizza Bites are available in three flavors: four cheese, supreme and uncured pepperoni. They are made with a gluten-free cheese bread dough and are stuffed with a filling.
Four cheese contains a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, Parmesan and asiago cheeses; supreme is stuffed with uncured pepperoni, Italian sausage, red and green bell peppers and spices; the final flavor contains uncured pepperoni, mozzarella and tomato sauce.
The Pizza Bites are available direct-to-consumer through Amazon and brazibites.com, as well as at retailers like Target, Wegmans, New Seasons and Publix and carry a suggested retail price of $5.99 per bag.
Safe Catch, a seafood brand that mercury tests every fish it catches, has debuted its latest product, Wild Tuna with Crackers.

The new minimally processed cereal is for infants and toddlers, and is available in four flavors: original, vanilla, banana and mango.
The cereal doesn’t contain common allergens, such as soy or dairy, and is made with almonds and buckwheat.
