Spring has sprung with limited-edition innovations.
Campbell Soup Co. debuted its first-ever limited-edition condensed soup flavor: tomato soup that has been “infused with the flavors of a grilled cheese sandwich.” The soup can be prepared with water for a stronger tomato flavor or with milk for a cheesier flavor, according to the company.
Aura Bora announced its latest limited-edition flavor: pineapple holy basil. The sparkling water features a tart and sweet pineapple flavor, paired with a slightly minty and herbaceous holy basil.
Hidden Valley Ranch has partnered with Kellanova’s Cheez-It brand to launch Cheezy Ranch, which features a zesty ranch flavor and cheese.
Chameleon Organic Coffee added 8-oz cold brew cans to its line of ready-to-drink beverages. The canned cold brew is available in nitro black, double espresso, sweetened black and flat white varieties.
“We recognized the growing demand for variety and ease of convenience in the RTD coffee segment without compromising on quality and flavor,” said Andy Fathollahi, chief executive officer of Systm Foods. “Our new canned cold-brew line provides our loyal customers with another delicious, no-prep option to enjoy their daily coffee ritual on-the-go, anytime.”
Frank’s RedHot, a brand of McCormick & Co., expanded with two new product lines: Frank’s RedHot Dip’n Sauce and Frank’s RedHot squeeze sauce. The Dip’n sauce line features Buffalo ranch, roasted garlic, and golden flavors, while the squeeze sauce line features sriracha, hot honey and creamy Buffalo flavors.
“The new Frank's Dip'n and Squeeze Sauces let fans add the perfect balance of flavor and heat in a new way by dipping or drizzling as much as they want on any food,” said Valda Coryat, North America vice president of marketing at McCormick & Co., Inc. “Not only are consumers experimenting with different hot sauce flavors, they’re adding it on a wider variety of foods from pizza to noodles.”
Plant-based beverage company Califia Farms added organic almond creamers in lavender, brown sugar and vanilla flavors.
“These organic almond creamers are the only products of their kind on the market and give consumers something they've been asking for: creamy, great-tasting plant-based coffee creamers that are organic and made from simple ingredients,” said Suzanne Ginestro, chief marketing officer of Califia Farms. “These products are the latest innovation in our ongoing goal to provide an array of delicious plant-based products that meet the evolving and unique needs of today’s consumer.”
Dairy-free cheese brand Daiya debuted a line of Mac & Cheese made with dairy-free cheese and gluten-free pasta. The line uses dry powdered cheese and is available in three flavors, cheddar, white cheddar and aged cheddar.
Barilla expanded its Protein+ pasta with cellentani, a corkscrew shape that is formulated with golden wheat and protein from chickpeas, lentils and peas. The pasta provides 17 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber per 3.5-oz serving, according to the company.
Pasta sauce maker Carbone Fine Food added its first white sauces to its line of pasta sauces: a classic alfredo and a roasted garlic alfredo.
“Red sauce is our bread and butter, and we've proven that we can do that really well,” said Eric Skae, chief executive officer of Carbone Fine Food. “We’re excited to expand our offerings with Alfredo and bring our signature premium quality to this popular style of sauce.”
Sargento Foods is expanding its portfolio with new cheese products, including Fun Balanced Breaks and fiesta pepper and smokehouse string cheeses.
“With a 70-year history of innovation, our newest products are designed with our consumers’ evolving tastes and preferences in mind,” said Louie Gentine, chief executive officer of Sargento. “In addition to adding more fun to the refrigerated snacking aisle, our two new string cheeses reflect American's desire for bolder flavors and new food experiences with the quality they expect from Sargento.”
Ritz, a brand from Mondelez International, Inc., will be an official sponsor of the 2024 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball tournaments, and in celebration of that sponsorship, added two new flavors of toasted chips. The toasted chips will now come in sweet habanero and honey BBQ flavors.
“We are putting all our chips on the NCAA March Madness tournament this year, and we’re thrilled to be back for our second year to share two, delicious new toasted chips flavors,” said Jennifer Sobolewski, senior brand manager for Ritz toasted chips.
Plant-powered functional beverage brand Rebbl expanded its product line with the introduction of protein shakes. The proprietary protein blend features upcycled-certified non-GMO barley, 26 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar. Rebbl’s protein blends are available in milk chocolate, vanilla and cookies and crème flavors.
